Some relationships just pick us up and make us better people and better people to love. When we are young these are very important lessons and I thank Susie for that which she taught me in this song. The “ya” is about work sounds. Becoming a better person, and a better person to love, is the hardest work we ever do. It’s like being on a chain-gang of prisoners to love, chained to each other as we move from relationship to relationship we can never escape the effect each “prison” has on us. I hope you found great happiness Susie Q.
lyrics
Q, ya, the love that you put me through, ya
Have burned a hole in my blue, ya
And led me out of my mind, ya
Q, ya, the secret woman in you, ya
Has spun your web into view, ya
And lost me deep in your time, ya
Ooooh, the sweet defeat of the lies
As all the loneliness dies, just look in your eyes
Just look in the paradise of your hypnotize
Q, ya, I think I know what to do, ya
And though I see that you knew, ya
I’m gonna love you a while, ya
Q, ya, I’m told that I can be cruel, ya
But I’m just trying to be true, ya
You know that I’ll make you smile, ya
Ooooh, the lazy days by your side
On wings we go softly glide, just look in your eyes
Just look in the paradise of your hypnotize
Q, ya, the love that you put me through, ya
Have burned a hole in my blue, ya
And led me out of my mind, ya
